Independent authoritative DNS
Cachivo runs its own authoritative DNS. Your zones are served from Cachivo nameservers across multiple countries and jurisdictions, which removes the dependency on any single infrastructure provider deciding whether your domain resolves.

Keep your origin hidden
When a hostname is proxied through Cachivo:
- Visitors connect to Cachivo edge addresses.
- Your origin IP is not published in public DNS.
- Your origin is not exposed through the Cachivo public API.
- TLS certificates are issued for the proxied hostname, not for your backend.
That is a separation layer between the public internet and your production servers.

Record types supported
IPv4 only. Cachivo does not carry IPv6 traffic, and AAAA records are not offered — a record type we cannot serve is worse than one we do not list. If your visitors need IPv6, this is not the right platform for that hostname.
- One-click DNSSEC signing
- Import of an existing zone
- Secondary (slave) zones from your own primary
- Per-record proxy control — proxy some hostnames, leave others DNS-only
- Full DNS management through the API
