Acceptable Use Policy
This policy exists so that enforcement is predictable. If we act on your account, it will be because of something on this page.
Streaming is never proxied
Our points of presence are built for web traffic. Video is a fundamentally different load — sustained, high-volume egress that degrades every other site on the same PoP. A hostname serving streaming media is automatically moved to DNS-only, so it resolves to your own origin and your stream keeps working at your own expense. It is rerouted, not blocked. Deliberately working around that — renaming files, changing extensions, rotating hostnames to keep video on the proxy — is a breach of this policy and may lead to suspension.
Not permitted
- Child sexual abuse material. Reported to the relevant authorities and terminated immediately, without notice.
- Attacking other networks — using our infrastructure to launch denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, intrusion attempts or credential stuffing.
- Phishing and malware distribution, including impersonating a bank, payment provider or government service.
- Spam, or hosting the infrastructure behind a spam operation.
- Open resolvers, amplification and reflection — anything designed to make our capacity available for someone else's attack.
- Anything unlawful in the jurisdiction where our infrastructure sits.
Where we take a narrow view
We are a delivery network, not an arbiter of what is worth publishing. We do not remove lawful content because someone finds it objectionable, and we do not act on a complaint that is really a commercial dispute. Copyright claims are addressed to the party hosting the content — we will forward a properly constituted notice to our customer, and we will not disclose their identity without a lawful order.
Resource use
Fair use applies. Traffic that degrades service for other customers on shared points of presence — whether malicious or simply mis-sized — may be rate limited or moved to DNS-only. We will contact you first unless it is causing an active outage.
How we enforce
In order of preference: contact you; rate limit or move the hostname to DNS-only; suspend the domain; terminate the account. Emergencies skip straight to whichever step stops the harm. Every action is recorded in your audit log.
